The Fresno American Indian Health Project (FAIHP) recently hosted the Second Annual Spirit Run 5K Run/Walk on April 27th, 2024, at California Health Science’s University. This event, which drew over 300 participants, offered a unique cultural experience in the heart of the Central Valley.

Focused on promoting health and wellness within Native American communities in the Fresno/Clovis area, the Spirit 5K Run/Walk showcased the rich cultural heritage of the American Indian people through traditional dance, songs, and ceremonies.

Participants received a goodie bag and medal for the first 400 registrants. Additionally, T-shirts were available for a donation, and trophies were awarded to first-place winners in various age groups.

The Spirit 5K Run/Walk welcomed individuals of all ages and fitness levels to join in the celebration of community and health.

A special thank you to ALL the participants and a BIG thank you to California Health Sciences University for use of their space!
