Our Native Wellness Department is dedicated to enhancing the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being of Native communities. Rooted in cultural practices and teachings, our services provide a holistic approach to wellness, empowering individuals and families across all stages of life.
What We Offer
Our department provides comprehensive support and resources, including:
Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Services:
- Culture-based recovery programs like Sobriety Is Sacred and Medicine Wheel 12-Step Classes.
- 1:1 counseling, prevention groups, and continuing wrap-around services for recovery.
- Resources for re-entry, aftercare, and referrals for higher levels of care.
Wellness Classes and Groups:
- WISE Elders Support Group (bi-monthly).
- Beading Group
- Community Resources:
- Case management, domestic violence prevention, COVID assistance, and transportation services.
- Healing initiatives such as the Community Garden and volunteer opportunities.
Special Initiatives and Events:
- Women’s retreats, community advisory meetings, and domestic violence support programs like the Phoenix Club.
