Michael Mygind - Communications Manager

Communication Manager


Michael Mygind is the Communications Manager at the Fresno American Indian Health Project. He brings 13 years of experience in nonprofit marketing and communications and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Print Journalism from Fresno State. Michael is passionate about strengthening FAIHP’s Communications Team and developing new processes to better support the organization’s programs, services, and initiatives.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogstraveling, and pursuing his many creative interests. He has played bass guitar and vocals in local hardcore punk bands for nearly two decades and previously helped manage a volunteer-run music venue in Fresno’s Chinatown District. He also enjoys retro video games, hiking, photography, and building Gundam models.

Michael is excited to collaborate with the FAIHP team and contribute to the continued success of the organization.

Stoney is a proud member of the Dine Nation, and values his role in serving the community through the work of FAIHP. Raised around the drum and dance arena, Stoney continues to honor his commitment as a singer and dancer within the community. He finds joy and fulfillment in sitting at the drum with his brothers, dancing alongside his family and friends, traditions that have shaped his life and spirit. Beyond his work, Stoney is passionate about creativity and the arts. Whether playing the saxophone for local bands or practicing photography, he enjoys expressing himself in ways that bring him and others joy. Stoney is enthusiastic about building connections with the staff and community. 

Diego Espinoza - Community Outreach Coordinator

Community Outreach Coordinator (He/Him/His) Lios Enchi Ania

Diego Espinoza serves as the Community Outreach Coordinator at FAIHP, where he takes pride in supporting the community and collaborating with a dedicated team. He studied American Indian Studies at Fresno City College and remains actively involved in community initiatives.

Diego’s interests include playing and writing heavy metal music (guitar and bass), cooking, attending concerts, and reading extensively. Though he grew up primarily in Fresno and Clovis, he has also lived in Los Angeles, Santa Maria, and the Foothills (Auberry).

Diego is of Yoeme (Yaqui) and Purepecha descent, with Costa Rican and Nicaraguan heritage on his mother’s side. He is passionate about fostering connections and is honored to contribute to FAIHP’s mission.
