Our Native Wellness Department is dedicated to enhancing the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being of Native communities. Rooted in cultural practices and teachings, our services provide a holistic approach to wellness, empowering individuals and families across all stages of life.

 


What We Offer

Our department provides comprehensive support and resources, including:

  • Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Services:

    • Culture-based recovery programs like Sobriety Is Sacred and Medicine Wheel 12-Step Classes.
    • 1:1 counseling, prevention groups, and continuing wrap-around services for recovery.
    • Resources for re-entry, aftercare, and referrals for higher levels of care.
  • Wellness Classes and Groups:

    • WISE Elders Support Group (bi-monthly).
    • Beading Group
    •  
    • Community Resources:
    • Case management, domestic violence prevention, COVID assistance, and transportation services.
    • Healing initiatives such as the Community Garden and volunteer opportunities.
  • Special Initiatives and Events:

    • Women’s retreats, community advisory meetings, and domestic violence support programs like the Phoenix Club.
